A PUB is holding a gig to raise funds for a centre for people with learning disabilities.

The Bridge at Tibberton are hosting a gig on Saturday (November 3)to raise money for the Myriad Centre in Worcester.

Landlord Tim Churchman who has been taking his son Alexander, 23 to the centre recently said: "It's just a really nice centre, they do all sorts of things like baking and music therapy. He needs a lot of stimulation all the time."

Alexander was born with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and over the years he has been diagnosed with several mental health issues.

Although they get some funding for the Centre from local government, it’s a registered charity and Tim hopes to raise more for it in order to help others like Alexander and their families.

One of Alexander's favourite bands, Freeway will be playing at the gig from 9pm.

This is a free entry event. Raffle tickets will be sold, and staff are asking for local people to donate prizes.

The evening will finish at 12 Midnight.
