ARMED police swooped on Croft Road this morning after reports of a man with a firearm.
A 23-year-old man was arrested near the car park on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm.
A West Mercia Police spokeswoman said a member of the public called police at 8.45am.
She could not confirm whether or not a car parked in Croft Road car park, which has been wrapped in police tape, is related to the incident.
An eyewitness said she saw armed police at the arches near the car park.
