PRIMARY school children in Worcester are being given the chance bring some festive joy to people across the city.

The Mayor of Worcester is inviting children aged between five and 11 to design his 2018 Christmas card, which will be sent out to around 500 schools, charities, organisations, clubs and businesses.

Primary schools across the city have been invited to get their pupils drawing and painting to come up with a seasonal picture that shows a Worcester landmark or symbol and promotes the Mayor’s message of 'love not hate.'

The Mayor, Councillor Jabba Riaz, said: “I’ve been working hard to reach out to communities across Worcester to spread my message of Love not Hate, and this is a fantastic opportunity for local children to get involved."

The winner will be invited to tea at the Mayor’s Parlour in the Guildhall and their school will receive a £50 gift voucher for art materials.
