TRIBUTES have been left in memory of Steven Downing, whose body was found in the river Severn last week.
A high-vis vest has been attached to a tree at South Quay, Worcester, from friends and colleagues at Concept Furniture, along with flowers and a photo of him.
One person wrote “RIP Stevie D - top bloke!” and another reads “One of the best”
A note has also been left with the flowers which reads: “Steve will be sadly missed by everyone at Concept Furniture – R.I.P Mate”
Steven’s body was recovered from the river on October, 31 after he went missing from Worcester Shrub Hill Station at around 8.15pm. on the night of Sunday, October 28th
Steven, 58, was originally from Kidderminster and it is believed he may have been travelling back to Birmingham before going missing.
Police are still appealing for anyone who might have seen Steven on the night he went missing to get in touch with information. They say to call 101, quoting 380s.
