WARRIORS.
7 Pennell – sparked Warriors into life as his break and offload created his side’s only try and always looked to make something happen.
6 Heem – made one notable burst down the left flank in the second half but his knock-on when no one was near him summed up a frustrating afternoon for the Kiwi.
6 Venter – made several probing runs and a fine support line in the build-up to Mills’ try but conceded a couple of turnovers.
7 Mills – returning from injury the inside centre put in a huge defensive effort and was in the right place to cross the whitewash.
6 Humphreys – made the odd foray but rarely saw the ball and was given the tough job of keeping a tight rein on Rokoduguni who scored Bath’s first try.
6 Weir – was a welcome addition to Warriors when he was released by Scotland but looked on in disbelief after miscuing from the restart and spent most of the game on the back foot.
6 Hougaard – produced a superb try-saving tackle on Ellis only to gift the flanker a touchdown moments later when his kick was charged down.
5 Black – put in a strong shift in defence but made a crucial mistake at the scrum at the end of the first half which led Bath to open up a six-point lead.
5 Singleton – a mistake-ridden showing from the hooker whose throws at the lineout were stolen on far too many occasions and was unable to make an impact in the loose.
6 Schonert – although he missed a couple of tackles he got through a lot of defensive work and Warriors missed his scrummaging ability when he was replacement.
5 Bresler – put in some big tackles but was outclassed by his opposite number Attwood who caused Worcester all sorts of problems in the lineout.
5 Barry – a disappointing day at the office for the Bristol-born lock as Worcester’s set-piece crumbled and was stripped of the ball when his side were in a position to score.
5 Williams – looking to repeat his cup heroics the energetic flanker, making his first start in the Premiership this season, carried hard but made handling errors and conceded turnovers.
8 Lewis – set the standard for the rest of his team-mates as he made a nuisance of himself at the breakdown, did not miss a tackle and was effective in attack. My man of the match.
7 van Velze – linked up play nicely when Warriors got on the front foot and tackled well but struggled to deal with destructive locks Attwood and Stooke.
