VOLUNTEERS have brightened up a community centre by painting the outside.

Fundraisers held a danceathon and a summer fete to pay for the spruce-up to the front of All Sorts of Performing Arts's home at Medway Community Centre.

St Paul`s Creative Group was asked to come up with a design for a mural that would brighten up the wall and show passers-by some of what is provided for youngsters in the area.

Gerry Lowman of St Pauls said: "Paul Manley was the artist who created the designs and he involved a small team to help bring his designs to fruition.

"The Creative Group was recently involved with the Worcester Stands Tall campaign by St Richard`s and have also worked on murals with Worcester Canal Group.

"We very much enjoy working with different local community groups and it was a great pleasure to contribute a little towards Medway community centre where such a lot of fun and creative activities take place.

Stuart Inglis Principal of All Sorts added: “2018 has been an extremely busy year developing our new Performing Arts and Community Theatre home and developing a strong community base that we plan to grow further in 2019.

St Paul's have done a fantastic job producing the mural depicting the performing arts. It’s great to see the local community of Worcester engaging in these activities and a massive thank you to all our funders who have provided outstanding support.”
