A SUNKEN passenger boat remains in Diglis Dock over three weeks after it went down.
It remains unclear how ‘The Earl’ sank on October 30 but the Canal and River Trust have said it is up to owners Worcester Boat Trips to move it as it is not blocking navigation.
The wreckage has become a talking point amongst those who walk along the rail from Diglis Bridge, along Severn Way, past Diglis Island.
Prior to the sinking, the boat would depart from South Quay every hour for a 45-minute cruise where tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks were available alongside a fully licensed bar.
And from August 2017, it would also transform into a weekend music venue called Notes on the Boat.
Worcester Boat Trips did not wish to comment when we contacted them, however, it was reported elsewhere that the company was carrying out an investigation into the sinking.
