Traffic has been at a standstill due to lane closures in the city centre today.
The outside lane is closed on North Parade before the Dolday junction, causing long tailbacks. While the left-hand lane on the Dolday is closed until just before the left turn towards The Butts.
This is due to upgrades to traffic signals. There have been traffic delays stretching back to St John and along Castle Street.
Jon Fraser, head of local Highways, said the work was due to finish today.
