MEMBERS of WW (formerly Weight Watchers) groups in Worcester have donated more than £200 worth of food to Worcester Foodbank.

Slimmers in groups run by Dawn Cooper, Hannah Murrin-Earp and Julie Baker donated before Hannah took the food to the charity (pictured) in Lowesmoor Wharf. Dawn said: “WW has three pillars in their philosophy, namely food, activity and mindset and this act of donating so ticks the wellbeing box. We estimate the value of our donations exceeds £200 and know it goes to such a good cause locally."

Julie added added: “In our world of plenty, it’s easy to forget others. However when I raised the issue, my WW members clambered to help and people brought in what they could spare every week from tins of beans and other staples to treats of chocolates and packs of mince pies."
