A 'SPECIAL adult home' is needed for a young dog who has not enjoyed the best start to life.

George is a 16-month-old white-and-tan staffie cross in the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch.

The charity needs him to go to a home where he will get lots of love and understanding.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "George is a special boy looking for a special adult home.

"Sadly he did not have a good start to his life and hasn't seen much of the outside world.

"He has not been given much guidance or training as a puppy, so is looking for a patient, understanding, experienced owner who can introduce him to everything gradually.

"George can be a jumper, so needs a well-fenced, secure garden.

"He is sweet natured, friendly and affectionate. He really enjoys company and would love someone to be around for part of the day.

"We believe there's someone out there who can give George the chance of the happy life he so deserves."

George is described as an active boy who loves his walks and will need a similarly active owner.

He is in good condition, housetrained, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and will be rehomed with four weeks' free pet insurance.

If you feel you can offer George a home, call Geraldine on 01886 822083.
