A FORMER teaching assistant at Nunnery Wood High School has been honoured. Andrea Alldridge was presented with a Stars in our School award from Mayor of Worcester Jabba Riaz at the Guildhall.
Stars in our Schools is an annual celebration of school support staff, organised by Unison.
Mrs Alldridge, a qualified French and German teacher, joined Nunnery Wood in 2007 as a teaching assistant and cover teacher.
She went on to help the history department until she left in November this year.
Mrs Alldridge’s former colleague Kathy Knight nominated her for the award. “The nomination was because Andrea was a star in our school,” said Miss Knight.
“She was the most honest, supportive and caring person to both staff and students. She went above and beyond her duties. She will be greatly missed.”
