A PEDESTRIAN was killed when he was hit by a car on M5 this morning.
The M5 was closed in both directions following the crash, between junctions 12 and 13.
The road was closed southbound from junctions 12 to 14 and northbound from 13 to 12.
There was queueing traffic and diversions were in place via the A38 and A419.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police said: "We were called to a serious collision near junction 13 of the southbound side of the M5 just after 7.30am today (Saturday 5 January)."
The motorway was reopened at around 11am.
