FULL UP: We all need to do our bit to recycle but it’s hard to do our bit when confronted with full skips, says our lead letter writer
SIR – We all know that the bin collections are not sufficient but in an attempt to support the community and the environment we regularly make trips to the bottle bank.
On the last three visits the large bottle skip at Homebase on Hylton Road has been chock full, leaving conscientious users little option but to leave the bottles neatly to the side of the skip.
This is frustrating when we are all trying to ‘do our bit’. If the council is serious about getting us all to recycle more then can they please help us by providing the correct facilities.
