A CHARITY shop manager is urgently appealing for volunteers to help deal with a deluge of donations.
Fran Holder, shop manager of the Cats Protection store in St John's, Worcester, said she needs help to get the stock onto the shelves.
She added: "We are in desperate need of volunteers. "We are inundated with donations but we are struggling to keep on top of them.
"We need to process stock quicker to make more money for the cats.
"We are looking for help with sorting stock, preparing it and also volunteering on the till."
Ms Holder, aged 44, added that volunteers improve their customer service skills and also encounter a range of weird and wonderful donations.
The manager said the most memorable donation she had received was a coat, which had £250 inside of it.
Cats Protection looks after homeless felines and pays for their vet bills.
It also tries to find new homes for the animals through its website worcester.cats.org.uk
To volunteer at the St John's shop you must be over 14 and pick up an application form from the store.
