A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after reportedly falling off his bike in the city centre.

The 23-year-old man suffered cuts to his head and hand when he came off his bicycle in Foregate Street, Worcester, yesterday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it received a report of a man falling off his bike at around 7.21pm.

It sent one ambulance to the scene and took the patient to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, arriving at 8.11pm.

Paramedics said the patient's injuries were not serious.

A witness said members of the public rushed to help the man, before the ambulance arrived.
