GLIMPSES of Father Christmas on his sleigh, travelling through a town's roads, have helped raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Droitwich Spa Rotary and Droitwich Lions raised a combined total of £8,000 for local good causes by working together to bring Santa and his sleigh to as many people in Droitwich as possible.
Lions spokesman Bill Phillips said “We have been delighted by the response to Santa and by the generosity of Droitwich people.”
Droitwich Spa Rotary's Edgar Harwood added: “ We would also thank people from other organisations who provided extra manpower for the event.”
The Lions and Rotarians have worked together for a number of years to help Santa and his sleigh visit, in what has become a much-loved tradition in the town.
