THE Hive library is inviting people to various events being held.

On Thursday, February 21, the Butts library will be holding a safer internet day.

At the free, drop in event people can find out how to secure passwords, and learn how to browse the internet safely.

The event is being supported by West Mercia Police, One Digital and the library's Digital Champions.

The event takes place between 10am and noon.

During half term there will be a variety of entertaining events for families.

Author Jayn E Winslade is holding a meet the author workshop on Tuesday, February 19.

The author will be unveiling her latest book, The Curse of Aggara, the latest book in the Chronicles of the Golden Light series, and the event will also feature a workshop with games and spells.

The event is being held between 11.30am and 1.30pm. Booking is essential, and children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

Storytelling will take place every day between 11am and 2.45pm throughout half term week, while there will be a children’s theatre on Friday, February 22 when The Hive welcomes back Rhubarb Theatre with their performance of The Boy Who Wanted to Fly.

The event takes place between 2pm and 3pm, booking is essential, with adults priced at £7 and children at £3.

Before the show, the Rhubarb Theatre is also running a children’s workshop between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

That event is suitable for children five-years-old and over, while under eight-year-olds will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Children cost £3, adults go free.
