THIS breath-taking drone footage shows Worcester Cathedral and the surrounding area from the sky.
The use of drone technology means that the diocese does not have to spend money on scaffolding in order to inspect the cathedral tower.
Instead, church leaders are now able to check parts of the tower with the drone and plan any required repairs.
Val Floy, chief operating officer at Worcester Cathedral, said: “We were conscious that parts of the tower needed to be inspected but the costs and logistical challenges of doing this meant we had not been able to do so.
"The imagery captured by the drone will enable us to do an initial assessment so we can prioritise future work and inspections.”
Ecclesiastical Insurance captured the footage as part of an insurance survey.
