A PERFORMER heading to The Swan Theatre in Worcester hopes he will leave his audience floating on air with sheer delight.

Move over Bat Man and Spider Man, because it’s time for the Amazing Bubble Man to take to the stage with powers that are apparently just as super.

A spokesman said: “Louis Pearl has been thrilling audiences worldwide for over 30 years with the art, magic, science and fun of bubbles.

“An Edinburgh Fringe favourite, he has sold out there for the last twelve years. Louis explores the breathtaking dynamics of bubbles, combining comedy and artistry with audience participation and enough spellbinding bubble tricks to keep everyone mesmerised.”

And it all began decades ago with the making of a toy.

The spokesman added: “Louis Pearl is one of the world’s leading bubble-ologists. He began in 1980 by making, demonstrating, and selling a toy called the Bubble Trumpet on a street corner in Berkeley, California.

“Eventually his toy company had 147 products with international manufacturing and distribution, but Louis found that he preferred playing with the toys over selling them. He sold Tangent Toys in 2002. Since then he has been touring the world, performing hundreds of shows every year.

“From square bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, fog-filled bubbles, giant bubbles, bubble volcanoes, tornadoes and trampolines to people inside bubbles, the Amazing Bubble Man conjures shrieks of laughter and gasps of amazement from all ages.”

Critics have been singing his praises, with one review stating “within minutes he was holding the audience absolutely entranced”, and another adding “it’s utterly fabulous to see all the big bubbles, the clever bubbles, and the ‘you-can’t-believe-he-just-did-that’ bubbles.

“Super!”

The Amazing Bubble Man will drift in to The Swan Theatre on Sunday, February 17, for two shows.

The first one will be at 11.30am and the second at 2pm.
