A COMPANY was 'impressed' by an animal shelter after members paid the staff and furry friends a visit.
On Tuesday, January 22 employees from Jigsaw Tree Limited, a Business Consultancy based in Norton, Worcester, visited Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter to volunteer and help out at the shelter.
Chris Baigent-Reed, Sharon Taylor and Jo Morgan, discussed the opportunities and challenges that the shelter faces on a daily basis, as well as taking part in a full induction process and taking some of the dogs out for walks around the beautiful grounds and enclosed exercise playpens.
Chris Baigent-Reed, founder and director, said: “The team from Jigsaw Tree decided to support a local charity and Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter was selected as we had previously been to an event there and all of us are dog lovers.
We had a wonderful day with the team there and it didn’t matter is someone was employed or a volunteer they were all really helpful and friendly. Spending time with the dogs was just the best as they have lots of places to walk and play which means their time at the Shelter is a happy experience. I was amazed when we went to the cats shelter as they had music, toys, lots of beds, warmth, scratching posts and refreshments, plus visitors to sit and stroke, groom or just be with them.
I was so impressed with the facility and how it is run with so much love, care and compassion, oh, and finally, we will be back.”
