New members of the Worcestershire Ambassadors have been officially welcomed at an event hosted by the Ambassadors’ Board.

Fifty Worcestershire Ambassadors attended the event last week at the Crown and Sandys, Ombersley to welcome 30 new members.  The evening was hosted by new Ambassadors chairman, Kevin Powell.

The event allowed new members to meet the board and other existing Ambassadors as well as providing the opportunity to formally announce the two chosen charities for this year: St Paul’s Hostel and the Worcester Community Trust.

Mr Powell said: “This is an exciting time for the Worcestershire Ambassadors, promoting our county and all the amazing things we offer.

"As part of this, we are driving membership forward this year and have already seen an increase in members.

"The enthusiasm and passion for Worcestershire and the Ambassadors from everyone attending tonight was inspirational.

"It was great to see so many of our membership here to welcome new faces.”
