LOCAL art lovers have until February 23 to catch up with a exhibition of paintings by artist Colin Ross Jack at The Hive venue in Worcester.
And variety is certainly the name of the game, because Colin is clearly in the mood to celebrate and test himself.
In fact, the name of the exhibition is, appropriately enough, "Not my usual style".
He said: "Art has been a passion for all my life, and continues to be so. I have used most mediums. Having painted exclusively in pastel for about 12 years, I now paint in oils, which I make myself in the traditional manner.
"I enjoy the ability to create thousands of colours and tones from a few tubes of paint – many of my oils are painted using nothing but prussian blue and burnt umber with white, with a few touches of local colour.
"At the Hive there are about 90 paintings, covering five areas, including seascapes; worcester; Japanese style; still life, and flowers."
