A CHARITY golf day is being held for a search and rescue charity.
Independent fund-raisers of Worcester will host its annual Charity Golf Day at the Bromsgrove Golf Centre on Thursday, June 13.
The 18 hole AM-AM competition is open to teams of four, three or two, with prizes awarded to the winning team, runners up, best individual, nearest the pin, longest drive and longest putt.
A Yellow Ball Competition will also be included in the event.
The Fee of £45 per head includes the cost of 18 holes of golf and a two course meal prior to presentation of prizes.
Organisers said: "A comprehensive raffle will also take place on the day with a wide range of prizes. There will also be a “Players Only Free Prize Draw” for a luxury hamper."
All proceeds will be donated to Worcester-based West Mercia Search & Rescue, a group of volunteers that are the first point of contact by the emergency services for flood and land rescue.
WMSAR have to raise their own funding to keep operational and to cover their extensive training costs.
If you would like to enter a team please contact Independent Fund-raisers for a team application form.
In addition there are also sponsorship opportunities available and donations of raffle prizes are always welcome.
