POPULAR CBeebies presenter Patrick Lynch to star in Lyngo Theatre’s Tom Thumb at Worcester’s Henry Sandon Hall, this March.

A spokesman said: “To mark 15 years of activity, Lyngo Theatre are bringing back their very first show, revamped and specially adapted for a younger audience, and starring popular CBeebies presenter, Patrick Lynch.

“He is best known for presenting popular CBeebies shows such as Razzledazzle and Let’s Celebrate. Now Patrick Lynch will be appearing in the latest re-vamp of Lyngo Theatre’s most popular ever stage show, Tom Thumb.”

Tom Thumb has been Lyngo Theatre’s most successful piece, touring Europe almost continually for the past ten years “and racking up thousands of performances”.

A spokesman said: “In 2018 they toured the UK and Ireland with the definitive version, packed with new magical surprises, and now this better-than-ever show is back on the road and on its way to Worcester’s Henry Sandon Hall on Saturday March 23.”

But what is it all about?

The spokesman added: “One night tiny Tom overhears Mum and Dad talking – there’s nothing left to eat so they are going to leave him and his six brothers in the forest. Outwitting his parents and the ogre, Tom shows everybody that even though he is small, he is still mighty, as he protects his brothers, finds the treasure and makes sure they’ll never be hungry again!

“This table-top show is literally performed on and under an incredible kitchen table, with trapdoors, growing forests, feathery spinning birds and flying houses to amaze younger audiences and their families. One of the best of the classic fables, this classic story is brought to life in a playful and fascinating show full of Lyngo’s trademark magic.”
