THIS year’s Worcestershire Pride is searching for sponsorships to support the growing event.

Worcestershire Pride is operated by a small team of volunteers who organise the event for the benefit of the LGBT people and the wider community.

Mathew Skilbeck, vice chairman and sponsorship officer said: “Worcestershire Pride is about building the community and outlining how much has changed. It about supporting businesses and helping grow the acceptance of LGBT in Worcestershire giving people more support in being able to express themselves. It's about celebrating everyone's life choices giving them a chance to express themselves in a non-judgemental environment and connect with new people and share experiences.

“Worcestershire pride needs help and support from sponsors to keep this cause going and to help support the groups we work closely with, such as Out2gether which hold social events for members of the LGBT community and promote wellbeing.”

The theme for this year is celebrating Stonewall 50, as it is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots and the birth of the LGBT liberation movement.

Mr Skilbeck added: “Worcestershire Pride has seen an increase in support going from strength to strength in 2017 and 2018. With your help we could make Worcestershire Pride 2019 a truly amazing day.”
