A WOMAN is searching for her long-lost mum who she believes is living in the Worcestershire area.

Jacqueline Lisle was six years old when she was separated from her mum, whose maiden name was Brenda Marjorie Loader, until she married Royston Bressington - Mrs Lisle’s dad.

Mrs Lisle, aged 61 said: “We not long ago found out our mum has tried to get in touch with us. She sent letters to social services about visiting us. However, social services contacted our father, who told them our mum was not allowed visitation rights and refused to allow her to contact us.

“I thought she didn’t want us. We grew up feeling abandoned by our own mother. Knowing she has attempted contacting us all those years ago is very upsetting.

"We never knew about our mum - we were never allowed to talk or ask about her.

“My mum would be about 81 now, so time is against us. I just picture this old lady not knowing her children, it breaks my heart.

"The last letter I received from her said we will meet again someday.”

Mrs Lisle was separated from her family and was put into foster care at the age of six, until her dad remarried three years later, and she moved back home with her two sisters.

Mrs Lisle has tracked down her family history and details through ‘My Heritage’ which is an online genealogy platform.

She has found out her mum got married four times, and her last known husband was Alfred Palmer. Her last known address was Minster Walk, in Bromsgrove, before the house was sold in 1997.

Mrs Lisle lives in Devon and wants to reconnect with her mum after 55 years of being apart.
