AFTER the success of the Love the Arboretum trail of light, wouldn't a city-wide version be fantastic?

Love the Arboretum was a fantastic example of residents uniting to do something special for their community, and their endeavours proved fruitful with around 300 people picking up maps and following the trail of illuminated artworks.

There was a real buzz in the Arboretum on February 16 with local residents and people from outside of that neighbourhood visiting to see the impressive creations on display in windows and elsewhere.

Love the Arboretum and the Worcester Stands Tall giraffe trail this summer shows the appetite that people have for special outdoor art installations, and so it's no surprise that there is already talk of both events returning for a second display.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if the Love the Arboretum concept was rolled out across Worcester, with windows across the city lit up with art? I'm sure this would attract visitors from across the region and could raise money for charity as the giraffe trail did for St Richard's Hospice.
