THE Hive is opening its doors and hosting another archaeological tour of the grounds this month.
This latest tour is taking place on Saturday, March 16, between 11.30am and 1pm, and will be run once again by the Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service. The tour will give residents the opportunity to discover how the site surrounding the Hive has changed over time, from a Roman street to Civil War defences and Victorian cattle market.
Nina O'Hare, community archaeologist, said: "The Hive lies over a fascinating variety of archaeological sites, which we were able to excavate in 2008-9 before the building work took place. Whether you followed the dig at the time or not, this tour is a great chance to discover how the site changed over time and to see some of the objects people made and used here centuries ago."
