A WARRANT was issued for the arrest of a prolific bicycle thief who failed to attend court.
Ashley Jordan, 18, was due to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday, March 1 to face a total of 15 charges.
But Jordan, of Dent Close in Worcester, did not attend and was found guilty in his absence of 14 of the charges. He had previously admitted one of the offences – possessing cannabis.
Five of the charges were for stealing bikes in Worcester and Droitwich, one was for having bolt cutters used for theft, and another five offences were of damaging bicycles in Droitwich.
Jordan was also convicted of two charges of failing to surrender to custody at the city magistrates court, and one offence of trespassing on railway property in Droitwich.
