THE man who is a born flâneur, raconteur, bon-viveur, and possibly the greatest UK-based French comedian around, Marcel Lucont has a date at the Artrix in Bromsgrove.

Marcel is a familiar face on The John Bishop Show and Comedy Central at The Comedy Store, and now he's on a tour of the UK, where he plans to "entertain the delusional with disdainful stand-up comedy about the hopelessness of their own lives".

A spokesman said: "Marcel brings his critically acclaimed Whine List to the baying masses. The Whine List is a kind of group therapy session, but one where everybody will probably leave more depressed."

It almost sounds like an EU meeting over Brexit.

The spokesman added: "Eager to cash in on humanity’s obsessions with narcissistic self-help, Marcel offers his audiences the opportunity to air their gripes, moans and whines in front of a man who has plenty of his own.

"Precious few solutions will be offered but viewers will be rewarded with readings from Marcel’s memoirs as well as insight into Brexit and the current plight of the

British thanks to Marcel’s God-given wisdom. Expect louche musings, deadpan wit and Gallic superiority."

Marcel Lucont’s regular appearances on television and radio include The John Bishop Show (BBC1) & John Bishop’s

Christmas Show (BBC1), Comedy Central At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3),

Live At The Electric (BBC3), Derek (C4), Set List (Sky Atlantic), Radio 4 Extra Stands Up (BBC Radio 4) and Laughter

Lounge (BBC Radio 1).

The spokesman said: "Believing that genius should not be tethered but allowed to roam, Marcel has also been taking

culture to different places all over the world in exchange for money, along the way he has been adored by audiences and showered with praise and awards."

The date for the diary is Friday, May 26, at 8pm.
