It’s been an unusual month for Gary Bills-Geddes of the Worcester News.

Not only was he interviewed for an online literary web site, an interview he gave to an American TV company last summer was finally broadcast, both on the TV channel and online.

Gary was interviewed by the Michigan-based APN TV Media Company for its 100th anniversary show, and following the USA publication of Gary’s collection of short stories, Bizarre Fables.

He said: “I wrote the stories but a number were co-plotted with my wife, Heather, who also did the illustrations.

“It was great to see the interviewers being so complimentary about her art.

“For me, being interviewed via Skype was a nerve-racking and rather a lengthy experience: but still enjoyable.”

The book, Bizarre Fables, is out on Amazon, and so is a CD recording of three of the stories, as performed by the character actor, the late Sam Kelly of ‘Allo ‘Allo! fame.

Gary said: “He was a good friend of Heather’s during her time in professional theatre. Sam read the stories and liked them and offered to record the ones he liked best, to help us promote them.”

The online poetry interview with Gary was put out by a site called Wombwell Rainbow.

Gary has published two full collections and in 2005 he edited “The Review of Contemporary Poetry” for Bluechrome. The anthology was launched at the Ledbury Poetry Festival that year. Gary has also given readings in Italy and Germany.
