A brand new ladies choir in the Malvern and Worcester area has launched.
The choir will be under the musical direction of local councillor and musician Tom Wells.
Over 50 ladies attended the first meeting of the choir last Tuesday.
Cllr Wells said: "I am very excited by this new project to bring women of all musical abilities together to sing for an hour on Tuesday evenings.
"Singing promotes such a strong sense of physical and mental well being. I would encourage anyone who has ever thought about joining a choir to come along to for free taster session.
"Experienced singers would also be very welcome and we shall be exploring many different styles of music.
"The emphasis would be to have a good sing and have some fun along the way.
"Whether you are an accomplished musician, or a complete novice, you would be most welcome to come along to join the sisterhood."
The choir meet on Tuesday evenings in Callow End School from 7 to 8pm.
