A man raising money for a Worcestershire charity has completed an 187-mile walk along the entire length of the Worcestershire border.

Daniel Walton, 42, has raised more than £3,000 for charity Onside Advocacy, which supports members of the community who may be discriminated against, vulnerable or disadvantaged.

The walk started on Saturday, March 16 and ended mid-afternoon on Friday, March 22 in Tenbury Wells.

Mr Walton said: "The most challenging times for me were days three and four which were really tough. My legs were aching and blisters had set in.

"Physiologically I was still heading away from where I started and there was still a daunting amount of miles to cover. At that point it was the donations and amazing support from the public that kept me going."

"Having people come and join me on different days was great. It provided a fantastic distraction and made walking a lot easier. "

On Wednesday, he was joined by BBC Casualty actress Maddy Hill, 29, who said: “I have family living in Worcester and I think it’s a great idea to showcase such a beautiful country while raising money for a really important local charity.”
