Michael Hallet wrote in his book, Worcester Cathedral: A Grand View, that this is “one of the earliest surviving photos of the Cathedral...showing the Cathedral prior to the restoration. It shows the west window prior to replacement in 1865, the earlier Cathedral tower and the prebendal house build upon the area of the monastic Reredorter.”
