TODAY'S old picture from the archives of the Worcester News dates from February 1998, and shows the chimney at the old Morganite Ceramics plant at Norton, on the edge of Worcester, undergoing repointing work. The chimney actually pre-dated Morganite on the site, having being built more than 65 years previously for a canning factory. Since the picture was taken, the factory and the chimney have both gone, to be replaced with housing.
