THE Royal Three Counties Show is set to take place in the summer, with confirmed guests including BBC Countryfile’s Adam Henson.

Diana Walton, spokeswoman for the event said: “The show is a wonderful celebration of fine food, farming and the countryside that the whole family can enjoy.

“We’ve got something in store for everyone, from the hugely popular Adam Henson and his Cotswold Farm Park where you can meet your farmyard friends as well as Adam, to the magnificent champion livestock in the Grand Parade and Britain’s best loved farmers. We can’t wait to open our gates!”

There will be a firm focus on the host county of Herefordshire this year and the opportunity to sample cider and strawberries.

Some of the country’s finest livestock will compete for the title of best in show with thousands of show entries expected, while family entertainment will include dog agility and duck herding.

Youngsters will be able to meet lots of cute and cuddly creatures ranging from rabbits, alpacas and goats to chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys.

The Red Devils display team will put on a demonstration and a spokesman said: “We look forward to showing our skills at the event and entertaining the public on what is set to be a wonderful day.”

The Gardening Hub returns for its second year, with stage host, local gardening expert Reg Moule.

Set at the foot of the Malvern Hills, the show is expected to attract more than 90,000 visitors over the course of the weekend.

The Royal Three Counties Show will take place from Friday, June 14 until Sunday, June 16. Tickets are on sale, with under 16s going free for the first time ever this year.
