A PUB in Malvern is hosting a special fun day to raise money for a sick little girl.

The event is on at the Three Horse Shoes in Poolbrook Road, this Sunday (May 26).

The aim is to raise money for the family of 20-month-old Polly Mills, who suffers from an extremely rare brain condition.

Polly's mum Amy has long been a friend of the family of Angela Ebbon, the pub's licensee, and it is Angela's daughter Sadie-Marie who has arranged the whole event.

"Amy used to babysit for us, and she used to to teach my girls ballet, so we have known her for a very long time," said Mrs Ebbon.

Sunday's event, which runs from 2pm into the early evening, will include a barbecue, bouncy castle, face-painting. a yoga display, Irish and morris dancing, and meet-and-greet Disney princesses and superheroes.

There is also a raffle with top prizes including a tea for two at the Colwall Park Hotel and day passes at the Malvern Spa, as well as other desirable prizes donated by businesses in and around Barnards Green.

Mrs Ebbon said that Polly's family need the money to make adaptations to their house to create a safe, stable and useable family home where they will be able to provide the care she will require for the rest of her life.

Polly's condition is called Aicardi syndrome, an extremely rare brain condition that means she is very slow to develop and may never walk or talk.

It also means that she il likely to have a limited lifespan and that normal childhood illness can be life-threatening.
