A LONG list of celebrities have put pen to paper and created a doodle for the Anna Wilkinson Mockingbird Trust.

A free exhibition of their work and a silent auction to raise money is also being held next month. All funds raised will be going to the trust that was set up in memory of Anna, who tragically died of a brain tumour at the age of 16, three years ago.

The trust, named after Anna’s favourite book, To Kill a Mockingbird, was set up to provide treasured moments for young people who have been diagnosed with cancer and are aged between 16 and 24-years-old from the West Midlands. The charity was set up by Anna’s parents Wendy and Chris, from Uphampton, near Ombersley, and in the past it has arranged special meals out and trips to shows or events for them to enjoy with their family or friends.

Chris Wilkinson from the charity said: “We asked celebrities to spend ‘a minute for the Mockingbird’ and have been overwhelmed by the huge number who have supported the charity by drawing a doodle for us.

“Not only have they provided their signed doodles, but the majority have also provided a photograph of them with their doodle. The doodles and photographs have been beautifully framed together and will be sold on the evening via a ‘silent’ auction.”

Celebrities who have supported the charity by providing a doodle include Claudia Winkleman, Peter Andre, Miranda Hart, Vic Reeves, Susanna Reid, Michael Ball, James Morrison, Nigel Havers, Catherine Tate, Dan Snow,Craig Revel Horwood, Stephen Tompkinson, Ruth Jones, Kate Silverton, John Challis, Ainsley Harriot, Eamonn Holmes, Iain Glen, and Hugh Quarshie. Prime Minister Theresa May has also provided a doodle, as well as Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson.

The exhibition is being held at the Great Hall of the Old Palace, near Worcester Cathedral, between 5.30pm and 9pm on June 21.
