County firm celebrates being finalist for three Chamber of Commerce awards

OLPRO, an outdoor leisure company which designs and distributes tents, campervan awnings and camping accessories, has been nominated for Excellence in Customer Service, High Growth Business of the Year, and Ecommerce Business Of the Year in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Daniel Walton, MD of OLPRO and Malvern Hills District Councillor for Broadheath, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for three awards this year.

“We work together incredibly hard to improve all areas of our business, and the progress we’ve made over the past year is remarkable.

“It’s all down to the dedication and hard work of my excellent team, and getting recognition such as this really motivates everyone and helps them to feel like their work is not going unnoticed.

“We are proud to live, work, and support the economy and training here in Worcestershire.”

The company, based in Little Witley, was set up in 2011 and has 12 staff turning over more than £2 million per year.

OLPRO frequently features in a range of specialist publications such as VW Camper and Bus Magazine as well as the national press including the Independent’s round up of best camping Melamine.

The company is also deeply involved in the Worcestershire community, working closely with Onside Independent Advocacy and the Worcester Music Festival to support their charitable efforts as well as helping local homeless charities each winter with their sleeping bag appeals.

OLPRO is the only company to be shortlisted for three awards in 2019.

The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in business practice and innovation across the two counties.

There are 14 categories of award for businesses that have been nominated, and the winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony on July 4 at the Worcester Arena.
