COULD you find a place in your home - and heart - for a friendly cat without a tail?

Aubrey is currently the longest stayer at The Holdings, RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch's Rescue & Rehoming Centre.

She came into care because she was found homeless with a badly injured tail, which had to be amputated.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Aubrey is hoping it won't be too long before she finds her forever home as she is feeling rather sad and would love to have her own home.

"She is always happy to see people and really enjoys all the fuss and attention.

"Aubrey can live with older children and would be happy to share her home with nice, calm furry friends, although ideally she would love all the attention to herself!"

The eight-year-old white girl is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and litter trained.

If you think you could offer Aubrey her perfect home, please call the centre on 01905 821272 (option 2) or pop in any day, except Wednesday, between 11am and 4pm. The address is The Holdings, Holdings Lane, Broomhall, Kempsey, Worcester. WR5 3FP.

Everyone is invited to the charity's One Fun Day event at The Holdings this Sunday, June 16, from 10am until 4pm, to celebrate the 195th anniversary of the RSPCA. In total, 28 RSPCA branches are holding events on the same day to mark the anniversary.

There will be refreshments, a barbecue, children's face painting and crafts, plus a pony cycle championship for everyone to enter, the new branch shop to visit and rescued animals to see.

Mrs Haynes said: "We warmly invite members of the public to join us on our open day and enjoy some delicious refreshments against the beautiful backdrop of the Malvern Hills.

“Tea, coffee and a selection of tempting cakes will be available, or Pimms and Prosecco for those who prefer a tipple or two!

“Please come along and support your local RSPCA branch and find out more about the work being done for rescued animals in Worcestershire.”
