Two of Worcester Cathedral’s choristers, David Marlow and Emily Mustoe, will be performing in a special concert in Liverpool.

They're taking part in the second concert organised by the Friends of Cathedral Music Diamond Fund for Choristers in Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on Thursday June 13.

The performance will bring together boy and girl choristers from cathedrals and places of worship ranging from the Isle of Man to Norwich, Bangor to Cambridge, and Edinburgh to Exeter.

David and Emily, along with the rest of the 100 or so boy and girl choristers, will rehearse for just a day before demonstrating the extraordinary professionalism and musical skills that cathedral choristers learn through the educational experiences available to them.

The concert is to be attended by the Duchess of Gloucester.

Nicholas Freestone, acting director of music at Worcester Cathedral, said: "It is wonderful to be sending two choristers to take part in this concert.  The Friends of Cathedral Music do so much to support the musical life of this country’s cathedrals."
