A MALVERN based tech firm has expanded its operations within Japan, having formed a new strategic partnership with Japanese firm, Samuraism Inc.

Specialists in open source software, Payara Services Ltd is headquartered at the Malvern Science Park and through an international team of 27 staff members, serves over 50 customers globally.

In securing Samuraism Inc as a new solutions partner, Payara will be able to increase its market share across Japan and neighbouring countries, where each of the tech firm’s service arms - Payara Enterprise, Payara Platform and Payara Server - will be available to potential prospects throughout the entire region.

As solutions members of both the Eclipse Project Management Committee, the Malvern tech firm is dedicated to shaping the future of the tech industry, and in forming relationships with some of the most prominent tech groups in Japan, Payara team members have delivered a series of talks and demos across Japan throughout May.

Officially launched in 2017, Payara Services Ltd is an industry leading tech firm that has secured long-term working relationships large brands across the globe including BMW, Hermes and Papa John’s.

Now one of the key players in open source software, the company has successfully grown 69 per cent over the last 12 months alone.

Malvern has become a home of cyber industry in recent years, with a growing number of firms in the software and cyber-security fields basing themselves at the Malvern Hills Science Park.

Worcestershire has been chosen as one of the first 5G testbeds before the nationwide rollout of the technology.
