LOCAL people joined Opera Worcester in their drama workshop last Saturday to find out what it was like to prepare for a role like a professional actor.

Amateur performers from Bridgnorth, Kidderminster, Malvern as well as Worcester, took advantage of the chance to improve their acting skills by working with Worcester-born professional director Anthony Ravenhall.

A spokesperson for Opera Worcester commented: “This is the second workshop we have held and both have proved very popular. On this occasion we were very lucky to be able to call on the expertise of a local professional like Tony.

“As well as offering performance opportunities we are keen to provide opportunities for local performers to experience first-class coaching so that they can develop their skills.”

Further workshops are planned. Anyone interested should watch the Opera Worcester website or sign up for the Opera Worcester newsletter at www.operaworcester.uk
