TODAY'S old picture from the archive of the Worcester News dates back to April 1981 and shows World War Two veteran Ted Dayus in his garden at Brickfields. The blooming tulips he is surrounded with are descended from bulbs he was given by a Dutch priest, when he was a young soldier helping to liberate Europe from the Nazis.
