STUDENTS from Jinhua in China enjoyed a trip to Sandwell Park Farm as part of an exchange trip to the UK.
They were shown around by pupils from St Michael's CE High School in Rowley Regis and Q3 Academy in Great Barr
The exchange visit is part of a Friendship Agreement between Sandwell Council and the Chinese region, Jinhua.
The exchange students also visited Ingestre Hall, a stately home owned by Sandwell Council.
During the Ingestre Hall visit the students took a cultural tour and took part in arts-based activities.
The children from China were treated to a British cooking experience and a cinema visit. Young people were also given a taste of every day school lessons, music performances and a celebratory BBQ.
Councillor Syeda Khatun, Cabinet Member for Community Engagement said, “It is great to see that two different communities are able to come together to learn about each other’s cultures and lives.”
Councillor Joyce Underhill, Cabinet Member for the Best Start in Life said “The opportunity was great for our young people to be able to learn from the students from China.
"It is hoped that young people from Sandwell will get the chance to make an exchange visit to China in the future.”
