FIREFIGHTERS were called when a car overturned in Belbroughton.

The incident happened on the A491 Stourbridge Road, near Moor Hall Drive, at around 11.09am yesterday (Monday).

The driver, a man in his 60s, suffered multiple injuries in the incident, which saw the car end up on its roof, and was taken to Russells Hall Hospital.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a car on its roof at 11.09am.

"We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a West Midlands care team to the scene.

"On arrival they discovered one patient - a man in his 60s - who had been helped out of the car.

"He was treated for multiple injuries, not thought to be life threatening and was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment."

Hereford and Worcestershire Fire Control tweeted that crews from Bromsgrove and Stourbridge fire stations attended the scene and West Midlands Ambulance Service treated one casualty.
