TODAY'S picture from the archive of the Worcester News dates back to July 1973 and was taken at the Mathon Sheepdog Trials, the annual event held at Upper House Farm at which shepherds competed to see whose dog could best control the sheep. The competition habitually attracted competitors from all over the country, which up to 70 taking part some years.
