Hailed as the best Santana tribute in the country, Oye Santana return to The Swan Theatre’s stage in Worcester, this September.

A spokesman said: “Oye Santana was the official UK No.1 winner at the 2018 National Tribute Music Awards. That accolade will come as no surprise to the Latin rockers’ legions of fans, who regularly pack out venues across the UK.

“It’s not simply that guitarist Milan ‘Carlos’ Webb produces astonishingly accurate renditions of Smooth, Black Magic Woman, Maria Maria, Samba Pa Ti, She’s Not There and a host of other Santana classics. The whole seven-piece band – additionally comprising vocalists Hector Gomez and Auriol Langbridge, Paul ‘Murph’ Murphy on percussion, Gez Kahan on keyboards, Jon Quirk on bass and Pete Lockwood on drums – delivers a stunning stage show too. From start to finish, there’s a party atmosphere that has feet-tapping and the audience shouting for more right from the first chink of the tambourine.”

Oye Santana first started playing together in pubs in 2012, and as their fan base grew they started to play less in pubs and more in arts venues. In a recent interview with the Hillingdon and Uxbridge Times the band said, “We don’t do this because it’s a job; we do it because it’s in our blood”.

The spokesman added: “When you watch them play this is quickly evident to see.

“Celebrating 50 years since Santana’s electrifying performance at Woodstock catapulted them into stardom, this show is stacked with five decades’ of hits, including the multi-million seller Smooth, Black Magic Woman, Samba Pa Ti, Maria Maria, Oye Como Va, Corazón Espinado and She’s Not There, all played with power, passion and perfection.

“It’s fiesta time, so get ready to party to guitar wizardry, astounding vocals and a rhythm section with more groove than you could shake a pair of maracas at!”
