DRIVERS are being asked to avoid Lowesmoor after a 'serious RTC.'

An eye-witness said they believed a woman was hit by a car before the car hit a bus.

At 5.30pm, West Mercia Police's control room tweeted: "Emergency services are dealing with a serious RTC at Lowesmoor Worcester.

"This is a major traffic route so delays will be caused. Please find an alternative route."

The car, a white BMW, was removed by a flatbed lorry and officers left the scene shortly after 6.20pm.

The road re-opened and the traffic appears to have cleared.
