THE community has come together in different ways to show their support for Oscar Saxelby-Lee, the Worcester five-year-old battling leukaemia.
This includes The Olive Branch which will be donating all the restaurant’s takings from next Tuesday, October 8 towards the appeal.
Adam Giagnori, owner of the restaurant said: “My little boy is called Oscar. He is only 10 months. I am a father of three so it’s quite close to home. We are a family run restaurant.
“When the family were appealing for donors at The Guildhall, I encouraged everyone in the restaurant to get their swabs done. I also invited the guys who were doing the appeal into my restaurant. It was important to promote the event and get everyone to help out.”
Mr Giagnori, aged 38 from Worcester, added: “I want to do what I can to help Oscar. We will be open as usual. On Tuesdays we always have offers on so it’s a good way to get more people in.
“All the staff will be donating their tip money to the good cause. We are hoping to raise at least £1,000, however as this is to help save a little boy we hope to raise as much as possible.”
